Jai Hind is a vital part of everyday life of the community who lives in Puthenthope Trivandrum Kerala, from soccer to cultural activities, literary movements to community developments. Like many other organizations, it had gone through many tough times since its birth in 1944, at the time of the non-violent independence movement in India. Perseverance prevail.

The Christmas sports, the Kerala Drama Festival, and the Football Tournament are the signature events of Jai Hind every year. The spirited aquatic competitions in the Arabian sea on Christmas day, which started many centuries back, is a unique event not only in Kerala, but in India.

Jai Hind organizes many events to bring the community together, and the tradition continues. Now the baton is passing from one generation to other in unison. Its always best to keep the opportunistic politics away from Jai Hind to consider it as the heart of the community, though politics is 'the way of life' in Keralam, is what I advocate as the former president of Jai Hind.

This organization could mould many leaders to act beyond the boundary of the gram panchayat. Let's work together. The enthusiasm, sincerity and the unselfish hard work of the first generation well-wishers and its founders will always inspire and enlighten us for a better future.
