Stella Lopez was a teacher at St. Andrews School, St. Ignatius School, St. Roch’s Convent School, and St. Michael’s Higher Secondary School. She also ventured into small industry and started Roy’s Flower Mill in 1964 and Rice Mill in 1966 which served the entire community for decades. She also owned many paddy fields and properties.

A great mother of five children who lived in various places such as Bombay, Sharjah, Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia, and New York.

At Leyo Bhavan, her century-old ancestral property at Puthenthope, she spent her final days. She passed away on May 19, 2023, due to a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease and the deterioration of her body.
